Thanks for visiting my wwworld.
Deeply saddened this week to hear of the death of my former boss, Eduardo Sanchez Junco, owner of HELLO! where I spent 13 unforgettable years.
I have so many mad memories of that time! It was the golden age of HELLO!, a publication created to be entertaining, inspirational, non-judgmental. Part of a stable founded under a dictatorship in Spain in 1944, now flourishing across the world, holder of a unique place in publishing history. The anti-crass.
We worked like crazy, we were permanently jet-lagged from the mad pace. Yet how many people can say they work for a company whose slogan is, "La espuma de la vida" (the froth of life), where kindness and truth are the aims?
Eduardo was a man of unshakeable principles, full of flair, quick to adjust to eccentricity in others; a man who welcomed me into his extended family and thereby opened many new horizons to me, both personal and professional.
My thoughts are with all my wonderful friends and colleagues from HELLO! It is hard to believe he is gone.
Please click on 'stories' to see a short story I wrote some years ago - fiction, inspired by the legend of Eduardo.
My rude and funny novel,'The Pleasure Protocols' by Max Pleasure (pseudonym) is now available on Amazon!
